PopStroke currently has 12 locations across Florida, Texas, Arizona, Alabama, and South Carolina, with nine additional venues under development and expected to open by the end of 2024.

About the role

At PopStroke, you'll have the opportunity to engage with state-of-the-art entertainment technology within the golf and entertainment industry. Your role will involve managing the installation and deployment of low voltage and AV technologies aimed at elevating the experience for both our valued internal team and our guests. Joining our venue technology team will position you at the forefront of shaping PopStroke's future, making a profound and lasting impact on its trajectory.

What you'll do

  • Your role includes leading the onsite installation for low voltage and audio visual systems which includes structured cabling, equipment racks, speakers, TVs, and lighting. 
Responsibilities
  • Lead low voltage projects and collaborate with other team members, partners, and vendors to set objectives and for each venue’s installation
  • Perform low voltage wiring and equipment installation at each venue, which includes structured cabling, AV equipment, racks, patch panels, security camera systems, low voltage lighting, and WAPs
  • Lead the installation of structured cabling which includes CAT6, fiber optics, speaker wire, and other various cables
  • Own the buildout of the IDF, which includes all conduit, cables, ladders, and racks
  • Train and mentor field technicians, ensuring company standards and best practices are executed
  • Ordering equipment based on venue size, scope, and deliverables
  • Ability to self-organize, manage project priorities, and adhere to strict timelines
  • Lead the technical success of projects
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 100% of the time to individual locations as needed; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Must be very familiar with products and installation of Cat6, Fiber, speaker wire, WAPs, security cameras and systems, patch panels, network racks, low voltage lighting, TVs, speakers, and other venue technology hardware.
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work independently, as well as team oriented
  • Proven ability to prioritize, handle risk, control costs, and adhere to timelines
  • Ability to use tools, troubleshoot, and test equipment
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience wiring and programming DSP amplifiers and networked control amplifiers 
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting appropriate hardware and software at each location
  • Experience providing hands-on support/solutions for restaurants, entertainment venues, and/or other multi-unit businesses
  • Degree or technical training in a related field 
  • Interest in golf or other sports

This position is remote, and requires the ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 100% of the time to individual locations as needed. Occasional travel to offices for face-to-face interactions, planning, discoveries, and more could be required. Candidates located in Florida or Texas are preferred.
