Job Summary


We are seeking an Associate Technical Project Manager to support cross-functional projects spanning product, engineering, reporting, customer success, and operations. This is an entry-level, early-career position ideal for a recent college graduate or someone with up to two years of experience who is highly organized, analytical, and eager to learn technical systems such as Salesforce and Power BI.

You will play a key role in requirement gathering, project coordination, task creation in JIRA, validation of deliverables, and communication with internal teams - building foundational skills that will accelerate your growth into a full Technical Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the planning and execution of software and reporting projects across multiple teams.
  • Gather, document, and refine business and technical requirements from internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Translate requirements into structured tasks/tickets in JIRA; help maintain project backlogs.
    Coordinate work across developers, report writers, QA testers, and customer-facing teams.
  • Validate completed reports, dashboards, or features for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with deployment planning, release coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Perform data checks, basic analyses, and investigative work to resolve issues.
  • Learn and work with tools such as Power BI, Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, and other internal systems.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies and escalate when appropriate.
  • Work independently and “figure things out,” even with minimal instructions or supervision.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Interest and willingness to learn technical tools and systems, including Salesforce, Power BI, and reporting frameworks.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts in simple terms.
  • High degree of initiative; able to learn quickly and operate with minimal training and oversight.
  • Ability to work on-site in our Cary, NC office several days per week, with increased office presence during the first 3–6 months.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Past internship or academic experience in project coordination, data analysis, software development, or reporting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Asana, or other project tools is a strong plus.
  • Interest in enterprise SaaS, software delivery, or aviation technology is a strong plus.
