Since its founding in 2007, Power TakeOff’s products and services have centered around the use of interval electric data to help the business market better understand and reduce their usage and to use software and analytics as tools to cost-effectively deliver services at utility-scale. While our end-user participants are businesses, much of our work is generated from utility-scale contracts with over 20 utilities across North America.

Postion Summary

Are you an expert in DSM M&V with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills looking to make an impact at a growing, mission-driven company? If so, you might be a great fit as the next Director of M&V Services at Power TakeOff. 

As the Director of M&V Services at Power TakeOff, you will provide strategic leadership and P&L management for the company’s Measurement and Verification (M&V) Services, spanning 18 states. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your DSM M&V expertise to not only expand our M&V services but also enhance the strategic approach of our core offerings (Virtual Commissioning® and Virtual SEM®). This position requires a blend of technical guidance, strategic planning, and client management, making it integral to both the growth and operational excellence of our M&V offerings.

The Job

  • Leadership and Strategic Planning:
    • Lead the growth of the company’s M&V Services.
    • Set and manage the M&V strategy for the company’s core offerings.
  • Collaboration and Implementation:
    • Work with various teams (business development, commercialization, product and software, data analytics, implementation) to scope and implement M&V contracts.
    • Responsible for the successful delivery of M&V projects without a dedicated team, securing needed resources.
  • Regulatory and Standards Compliance:
    • Develop the organization’s internal M&V approach considering regulatory and evaluator factors.
    • Stay informed and compliant with M&V standards including IPMVP, ASHRAE Guideline 14, and NMEC.
  • Client and Market Engagement:
    • Oversee client relationships and project deliveries, ensuring alignment with business and client needs.
    • Represent the company at industry events and contribute to business development and marketing materials.
  • Team and Project Management:
    • Direct project teams, emphasizing client needs and organizational goals.
    • Oversee project budgets, optimizing financial viability and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum of six years in consulting within the energy sector or related fields.
    • Proven experience managing large-scale projects or portfolios with budgets exceeding $500,000.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Demonstrated capability in delivering research services on time and within budget.
    • Exceptional client and stakeholder management skills.
    • Success in business development, including RFP responses and upselling.
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Proven track record in mentoring and managing teams.
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong decision-making skills with a history of sound judgment.
Location+ Travel
  • This is a remote position and a fully remote company. 
  • Power TakeOff does have ties to Denver, Colorado, and Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, with a number of employees based in those markets. 

  • Travel not required, but Power TakeOff does have events on occasion and pays for travel and accommodations for them.

The pay range for this role is:

135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
