We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support and strengthen our safety culture and environmental compliance across our operations.


Position Summary

The EHS Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs within our electronics recycling operations. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying workplace hazards, supporting training initiatives, and promoting safe, sustainable operational practices.


Key Responsibilities

Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance

·       Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, RCRA, DOT, state environmental agencies).

·       Support conformity to QEHS Management System, and certification requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, R2, E-Stewards)

·       Conduct environmental inspections and audits of facility operations.

·       Maintain environmental records, manifests, permits, and reports.

·       Assist in developing and enforcing EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.

·       Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments for recycling operations, material handling, shredding, and dismantling activities.

·       Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

·       Monitor workplace conditions related to ergonomics, noise, dust, chemicals, and fire hazards.

·       Promote a strong safety culture through engagement and communication.

Training & Communication

  • Coordinate employee training on safety, hazardous materials, emergency response, and equipment operation.
  • Support onboarding and refresher training programs.
  • Prepare safety communications, toolbox talks, and EHS reports.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and analyze EHS metrics (TRIR, LTIR, near misses, inspections, audits).
  • Assist with internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, R2, e-Stewards).
  • Recommend improvements to reduce risk, injuries, and environmental impacts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–4 years of experience in EHS, manufacturing, recycling, industrial, or logistics environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment and on the production floor.

Preferred

  • Experience in electronics recycling, waste management, or hazardous materials handling.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, R2, e-Stewards, or ISO standards.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to walk production areas, outdoor areas, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to industrial equipment, noise, dust, and materials typical of recycling operations.
  • Use of PPE as required.
