Job Title: Youth Group Swim Instructor

Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled swim instructor to teach our Learn-to-Swim Program for children aged 6-12. This program features a structured 5-level curriculum designed to build water safety, confidence, and swimming proficiency in a fun and supportive environment.

In addition to leading group lessons, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own schedule by offering private and semi-private swim lessons tailored to individual needs and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach group swim lessons using a 5-level curriculum, progressing swimmers through water safety, foundational skills, and advanced techniques.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for young swimmers of varying abilities.
  • Assess participant skill levels, track progress, and celebrate milestones.
  • Provide clear, encouraging instruction to help children achieve their swimming goals.
  • Communicate with families and team members regarding swimmer development.
  • Emphasize water safety and ensure awareness of emergency protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and Swim Instruction (Red Cross or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching swim lessons, especially to children in group settings.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and guide young swimmers.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse participant needs.
  • A passion for water safety and fostering a lifelong love of swimming.

Availability Requirements:

  • Must be available on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM for group lessons.
  • Flexibility to build your own schedule for private and semi-private lessons.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $30-$35 per hour.
