About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative QuickBase Engineer with expertise in AWS technologies and development experience using Python and/or React. This role is ideal for an individual who excels at working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, optimize workflows, and design scalable solutions that support the organization’s growth objectives.

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in developing, extending, and maintaining QuickBase applications, while also identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance system integrations, automation, and overall capabilities. They will collaborate across teams to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with evolving business needs, delivering impactful results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering:

1. Collaborate with business teams to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
2. Translate business needs into well-designed technical solutions that support long-term scalability.
3. Clearly communicate technical concepts and solution benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• QuickBase Development & Optimization:

1. Design, build, and maintain QuickBase applications to support evolving business needs.
2. Extend QuickBase functionality through Pipelines, Code Pages, APIs, and third-party integrations.
3. Provide guidance on best practices for QuickBase development, security, and performance optimization.
4. Integrate QuickBase with external APIs and cloud services for automation and enhanced functionality.

• AWS, React, & Application Development:

1. Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS that integrate with QuickBase or implement and maintain React-based web applications that work in concert with a QuickBase application through backend integrations.

• Technical Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

1. Partner with business and technical teams to ensure alignment between technology and operational needs.
2. Educate stakeholders on solution capabilities and advocate for process improvements that drive efficiency.
3. Provide technical support and best practices to ensure seamless adoption of new features and integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience with QuickBase development, including Pipelines, APIs, and application administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python for backend development and automation or experience developing modern React applications.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication mechanisms, and integrations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading technical discussions and aligning solutions with business goals
• QuickBase Certification
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
• Knowledge of GraphQL and API-first development
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus
• Understanding of AWS security best practices and cloud architecture principles
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in an iterative development environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 to $130,000 + equity and bonus potential, commensurate with experience
