About the role
- We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Business Analyst with a focus on healthcare logistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both business analysis and logistics operations within the healthcare industry. You will play a critical role in optimizing our healthcare logistics processes and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals to support patient care.
What you'll do
Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders, including supply chain managers, clinicians, and IT professionals, to gather and analyze business requirements related to healthcare logistics.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current logistics processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Logistics Process Optimization:
- Work closely with healthcare logistics teams to streamline processes and workflows, optimizing inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of healthcare logistics services.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze healthcare logistics data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory levels, stockouts, and order fulfillment rates.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into healthcare logistics performance and support data-driven decision-making.
System Integration and Implementation:
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate healthcare logistics systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Assist in the implementation of new logistics systems or enhancements to existing systems, including user acceptance testing and training.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards related to logistics, including handling of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards affecting healthcare logistics and implement necessary updates and changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on healthcare logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of healthcare logistics processes and regulations, including inventory management, distribution, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to extract insights from healthcare logistics data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and IT teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions to healthcare logistics challenges.
Preferred Skills:- Certification in Business Analysis or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CBAP, CSCMP) is a plus.
- Experience with healthcare logistics management software and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS).
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific standards and regulations (e.g., FDA regulations, Good Distribution Practice).
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies in a healthcare context.
