About the Role


As Priorities’ Senior Digital Editor, you will create compelling, digital-first video content that persuades and mobilizes audiences – shaping stories that break through crowded feeds, respond to breaking news, and feel native to each platform. Reporting to the Director of Creative Strategy, you will lead edits for paid and organic media across digital – including Tiktok, YouTube, streaming platforms, and more.  


The role includes occasional travel, and working hours are 10AM–6PM ET regardless of location. We are not currently registered to do business in all locations. In particular, we are not currently accepting applicants based in Florida, Hawaii, Missouri, and Texas due to regulatory considerations.


Responsibilities

  • Edit a range of short- and long-form digital content, optimized for multiple platforms from start to finish, with attention to timing, transitions, coloring and audio mix. 
  • Integrate current trends, memes, and storytelling formats to boost reach and engagement.
  • Adapt cuts for vertical, square, and horizontal formats, always with platform best practices in mind.
  • Work collaboratively to implement feedback from cross-functional teams and quickly adapt to changing news cycles and polling results.
  • Lend your creative talents to design brainstorms and creative concept ideation to help bring to life beautiful and compelling creative for a wide array of audiences.
  • Lead rapid-response projects with quick turnarounds.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years editing for digital and social (political, advocacy, news, or entertainment).
  • Mastery of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Descript (C4D a plus)
  • Proven ability to deliver across multiple video formats, resolutions and codecs.
  • Proven ability to make political messages feel authentic in social feeds.
  • Strong editorial judgment, political awareness, and trend fluency.

Compensation and Benefits

The budget for this position is $110,000-$115,000 commensurate with experience.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applications should include a resume and respond to application questions. The hiring process for selected candidates will consist of a phone screen, at-home exercise (compensated), and a set of final round interviews. Most processes will occur over 3-4 weeks with a target start date mid September.


This is a cycle based position, ending at the end of 2026.
