About the Role
As Priorities' Content Manager, you will play a central role in executing Priorities USA's marketing strategy across a broad range of channels and content types. Working within the Marketing team under the CMO, the Content Manager will support the organization's owned social media presence, press and organic channel tracking, and donor-facing communications. The ideal candidate brings a sharp instinct for what resonates online, with a finger on the pulse of platform trends and the creativity to translate political messaging into engaging, shareable content. This is a versatile, writing-forward role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to shift between audience-facing content and internal materials with ease. This position will report to the Director of Marketing and Finance.
This is a remote position. The role includes occasional travel, and working hours are 10AM–6PM ET regardless of location. We are not currently registered to do business in all locations. In particular, we are not currently accepting applicants based in Florida, Hawaii, Missouri, and Texas due to regulatory considerations.
Position Responsibilities
- Support Priorities’ marketing efforts by maintaining the website, and drafting press releases and newsletters to stakeholders.
- Draft, manage, and copy edit organic content across Priorities' owned social media channels — including Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and TikTok — while leading the buildout of emerging platforms including Substack, Threads, and Bluesky, developing platform-appropriate strategies for each.
- Maintain a content calendar across all organic social media channels; oversee the approvals process and support rapid response efforts as needed.
- Track and compile press hits and organic channel performance, producing regular reports and synthesizing insights to inform broader marketing strategy.
- Support the influencer and creator program by managing collaboration posts, developing shareable content for the creator network, identifying new partnership opportunities, and contributing to campaign reporting.
- Assist in drafting donor-facing materials including presentation decks, memos, and grant reports, ensuring all materials are polished, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Work cross-functionally with the Marketing team, other departments, consultants, and external partners to support integrated marketing efforts.
Position Qualifications
- 2-3 cycles or 3-5 years of experience working within a marketing, communications, social media, or content creation team. Experience on a campaign or with a political organization is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and format across a wide range of content types — from social media copy to donor memos and grant reports.
- Demonstrated experience managing content across multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and TikTok. Experience building out new platforms such as Substack, Threads, or Bluesky is a plus.
- Experience tracking press hits and organic channel performance, and translating data into clear, actionable reports and insights.
- Proven ability to develop compelling content that reflects brand voice and personality, from initial concept through final execution.
- Experience drafting donor-facing or stakeholder-facing materials such as decks, memos, or grant reports is a plus.
- Experience working with content creators or influencers in the political space is a major plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively across teams with diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure; ability to navigate rapid response situations calmly and effectively.
