About the role
You will test the functionality and usability of a new or existing software before it goes live to ensure it is bug-free
What you'll do
- Assist with the maintenance of existing legacy applications and transition them to a new system architecture
- Work closely with developers
- Provide feedback on what needs improvement
- Produce top-quality programs that meet customer expectations
Qualifications
- Create and maintain an automated test environment
- Automate test script creation and processing using recommended automated testing products
- Knows how to develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures and documentation
- Can develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing
- Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance
- Must be capable of testing and qualifying functional behavior of code
- Conduct unit and functional testing on bug fixes
Highly Desired Skills
- Knowledge of testing web-based applications including those with databases and web services/APIs
