The Visualization Designer plays a key role in realizing NorthStar visions by creating rendered and animated 3D experiences and simulations for client accounts. In this role, you will collaborate with development managers, UX designers, industrial designers, and leadership to bring concepts to life through storyboarding, 3D modeling, rigging, and animation for both client and team communications.

Key Responsibilities
- 3D Rendering & Animation: Design and produce high-quality, photorealistic 3D renderings and animations using Unreal Engine.
- Environment Creation: Develop immersive environments, lighting setups, and materials that align with project requirements.
- Concept Development: Collaborate with the designers, development managers and leadership to create visualization concepts and compelling storyboards that communicate ideas effectively.
- Optimization: Ensure models and scenes are optimized for real-time performance without sacrificing visual fidelity.
- Interactivity: Develop interactive visualizations, walkthroughs, or VR-ready content for enhanced user engagement.
- Pipeline Management: Work within established production pipelines, maintaining version control and adhering to deadlines.
- Creative Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical challenges and suggest innovative solutions to meet project goals.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in [relevant field, e.g., Computer Graphics, Animation, Game Design, architecture, or a related discipline].
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in creating 3D renderings and animations using Unreal Engine.
- Strong knowledge of real-time rendering workflows, including materials, lighting, and post-processing effects.
- Expertise in 3D modeling, UV mapping, and texturing using software such as Blender, 3ds Max, or similar tools.
- Experience with animation techniques, including rigging and keyframe animation.
- Proficiency in Blueprints or basic scripting within Unreal Engine.
- Strong understanding of spatial design, composition, and storytelling.
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for photorealistic quality.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with game engines other than Unreal Engine (e.g., Unity).
- Experience in creating VR/AR content or interactive media.
- Background in architectural visualization, or product visualization.
- Knowledge of Python or C++ for advanced scripting in Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools such as Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
