We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our Design team for a 6-month contract with potential for full time employment. When applying, please provide a link to your portfolio or include attachments of your design work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own multiple projects, driving the user experience design process from concept to final implementation.
• Collaborate closely with design researchers, industrial designers, visualization designers, hardware engineers, software engineers, systems engineers, product managers, and program managers.
• Support user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain deep insights into user needs and behaviors.
• Create user and system workflows for complex experiences, analyzing tasks and design artifacts to inform and drive design decisions.
• Develop seamless and intuitive multimodal experiences across multi-device systems, both physical and digital.
• Develop wireframes, digital prototypes, and interactive physical mockups to illustrate design concepts and interactions.
• Conduct concept and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs to improve the experience and user satisfaction.
• Communicate and present design solutions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Engage with clients to present work, gather feedback, and ensure design solutions align with their goals and expectations.
• Provide clean, well-documented design files and assets that support smooth collaboration and effortless handoffs across teams and with clients.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UX design, and advocate for their integration into our design processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a UX Designer (previous experience in a senior role is preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Prototyping experience in Protopie or other advanced prototyping tools.
• Animation experience in After Effects or other video editing software.
• Experience working on or designing for physical products.
