Junior Accountant

AP

-            Accurately enter invoices into the ERP system,

-            Record in the system  Vendor Payments

-            Review and process employee expense claims, verifying approvals and documentation

-            Assist with account reconciliations and vendor statement reviews.

-            Claims/Disputes

 

AR

-            Billing

-            Apply Customer payments

-            AR aging (NET 60-90)

-            Collection

-            Assist the Sales Team with the payment process

-            Unapproved transactions check

-            Merchant reconciliation (Shopify, Braintree, PayPal, Klarna, Moneris)

 

Office administration/HR

-            Ordering office supplies and managing inventory

-            Assisting with onboarding paperwork

-            Coordinating training sessions


Experience and Knowledge

  • 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable; experience dealing with multiple currencies is considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems; (QuickBooks)

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create, modify, and interpret spreadsheets using functions such as formulas, sorting, and filtering.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Dependable and consistent in delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Takes initiative to identify and resolve issues and actively contributes ideas for process improvements.
  • Team-oriented mindset, respectful, cooperative, and focused on achieving shared goals.

The pay range for this role is:

48,000 - 52,000 CAD per year (Richmond, BC)
