The Role 

Prokeep is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our growing team! As a member of the engineering leadership team you’ll help guide the team technically, helping us make the best decisions for the incredible products we are creating every day. We’re a small team that cares about collaboration, encourages curiosity, celebrates technical excellence and is driven by careful attention to detail and planning for the future.  We believe diversity of perspective and experience are key to building great technology and a thriving team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, responsible for their output, technical decisions, career development, and priorities.
• Be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making diligent architectural decisions.
• Work closely with other engineering leaders, scrum masters, and product management to deliver against the roadmap.
• Responsible for the on-time, high quality features developed by the team, using scope and creative problem-solving to find the best paths to on-time delivery.
• Continuously measure and improve against the team’s and company’s OKRs, ensuring the team doesn’t simply deliver, but grows.
• Remember to have some fun along the way and enjoy the journey!

Qualifications

• You lead, inspire, collaborate, make tough decisions, and get things done within SaaS software companies.
• You know what high quality code and software engineering processes look like and know how to foster an environment that creates them.
• You have the ability to do both long term thinking and short term planning. You set goals and clear expectations for the team and individuals to deliver against and help them do so.
• You have a solid understanding of at least a portion of our stack: Elixir, React, React Native, and AWS.
• You develop and lead high-performing sprint teams using Agile, while driving improvements in velocity, quality, and timelines.
• You have expertise in developing applications, QA automation, instrumentation, and tooling to drive success and continuous improvements for your teams.
• You are a strong project leader driving quality work all while finding creative solutions to problems.
• You love people and people love working with you.
• You are execution focused with an ability to navigate ambiguity.
• You have 2-3 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Most of all, you are high energy and enthusiastic about Prokeep’s mission, team, and potential.
