Director, Research:

As a Director you will play a critical role as a strategic advisor to clients and help to foster a high-performing, integrated agency team. You’ll work collaboratively across the agency to build strong, mutually trusting relationships with our clients by ensuring clear communication and delivering the highest quality work.
Job Responsibilities:
• Designing and executing quantitative surveys and qualitative research (IDIs, focus groups) with HCPs, patients, and caregivers to answer strategic brand and marketing questions
• Using social listening and online community analysis to identify hypotheses, refine discussion guides, and contextualize what you hear in primary research
• Working with claims and real-world data to frame market sizing, patient journey, and competitive dynamics before and after primary fieldwork
• Pulling from syndicated panel data and digital behavioral data to understand HCP and consumer engagement patterns and validate or challenge primary findings
• Building screeners, questionnaires, and discussion guides; managing audience bids, fielding, vendor coordination, and QA
• Synthesizing findings across data sources into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and client communication
• Presenting findings to clients and internal teams
• Contributing to proposals and new business development
Qualifications:
• Have 3-6 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical marketing and/or communications
• Have prior experience designing and executing primary research, ideally at a market research firm or healthcare consulting firm
• Have a background in or understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries
• Have hands on experience with quantitative survey design, fielding, and analysis
• Have experience conducting qualitative research with healthcare audiences
• Be comfortable working with multiple data sources and synthesizing across them, even if you have not used every source listed above
• Enjoy working with others and be comfortable with client interaction
• Have strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Be detail oriented with strong organizational capabilities and outstanding communication skills
• Ability to balance rigor with speed and create repeatable frameworks that work across accounts.
• Be a quick learner who can pick up new data sources and tools as needed
• Be a self-starter who is committed to excellence and willing to take the extra “click” to better understand the data
