Position Summary: We are seeking a Generative AI Intern to join our Business Development and Trade Marketing team. This is a highly technical, hands-on opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI technology to solve tangible business challenges in real-time. You will work directly to build, test, and refine custom AI tools (specifically Custom GPTs) that will directly support our marketing execution, advertising efficiency, and customer research efforts. If you are passionate about generative AI, love to build and iterate on new tools, and are eager to translate technical solutions into business impact, this role is for you.

Key Competencies & Responsibilities:

AI Tool Development & Implementation

  • Custom GPT Development: Assist in the design, building, and deployment of Custom GPTs, leveraging internal data, brand guidelines, and specific requirements from our marketing and research teams.
  • Prompt Engineering: Develop, test, and document highly effective prompts and repeatable workflows to maximize the accuracy and usability of the AI tools you build.
  • System Refinement: Continuously test the performance of deployed AI tools and gather user feedback to identify bugs and drive iterative improvements.

Marketing & Research Application

  • Marketing Support: Work directly with the marketing team to apply AI tools to critical tasks, including drafting ad copy variations, brainstorming social media content ideas, and summarizing campaign reports.
  • Customer Insights: Support research efforts by utilizing AI tools to analyze and quickly surface key themes and insights from large volumes of qualitative data (e.g., customer surveys, reviews, and market feedback).
  • Competitive Intelligence: Assist in conducting AI-powered competitor and market research to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.

What You Will Learn:

This internship provides highly specific, in-demand technical and business skills:

  • Practical AI Application: Mastery in applying generative AI to solve practical, high-value business problems within marketing and customer insights, moving beyond theoretical knowledge.
  • Advanced Prompt Engineering: Deep expertise in developing and refining AI inputs and outputs to achieve predictable, high-quality results for specific corporate tasks.
  • Technical Product Management: Experience in the full lifecycle of a small tech solution—from idea and build to testing, user feedback, and iterative refinement.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Communication: How to collaborate effectively in a professional corporate environment and bridge the gap between technical development and business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with major Generative AI models (e.g., GPT-4, Gemini, Claude).
  • Direct experience building or customizing GPTs or similar LLM-based applications (personal projects or coursework welcome).
  • A strong, applied interest in prompt engineering and optimizing how humans interact with AI systems.
  • Highly curious, self-motivated, and an excellent problem-solver who enjoys technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with or a strong desire to learn about digital marketing, advertising principles, and customer research methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
