About the opportunity

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to be an integral contributor to our finance and business operations. The position will have a broad range of responsibilities, to include all aspects of the monthly close, GL responsibilities, fulfilling external reporting requirements, and developing process efficiencies.

This role requires an initial six month onsite period, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter.


How you will make a difference

  • Evaluate and perform balance sheet reconciliations that are complete, accurate, and fully supported by appropriate evidence in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations.
  • Analyze and review month end close activities for discrepancies, coding errors and other issues that should be researched and resolved, or brought to management’s attention, including preparation, review, upload and posting of journal entries.
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly/quarterly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts and make recommendations to correct errors where appropriate.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insights and relevant reporting.
  • Identify & maintain internal controls over accounting processes and systems.
  • Participate in system implementations and process improvements by monitoring and assessing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement, and drive optimization.
  • Provide wide range of support for financial statement audits and tax filings.
  • Conduct special research and ad hoc projects.


A strong candidate will have

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • 3+ years of general ledger accounting OR 2+ years public accounting is required
  • Solid understanding of accounting practices, principles, and controls
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a high degree of proficiency in Excel
  • Self-motivated with high energy and initiative
  • Effective time management skills, proactive problem solving and critical attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and presentation skills
  • Tax experience (sales/use and income tax) a plus
  • Detail-oriented problem solver
  • Team player
  • NetSuite experience a huge plus
