Job Description

We are seeking to hire a People & Culture Specialist to join the People & Culture team at ProShop ERP for a 13-month contract! As the People & Culture Specialist you will be a key member of our P&C Team, responsible for assisting with the recruiting process, managing our HRIS (Rippling), and handling various administrative P&C tasks. You will work closely with the VP of People to ensure that all P&C operations run smoothly and efficiently. Must have Rippling experience.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and assisting with the hiring process.
  • Manage candidate communications, and assist with scheduling interviews and job offers.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, ensuring smooth transitions for new employees, and send out company swag to welcome them.

HRIS Management:

  • Maintain and update employee records in Rippling.
  • Ensure data accuracy and handle employee information requests.
  • Generate People & Culture reports from the system as needed for compliance, performance, and payroll.

People & Culture Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support for People & Culture functions, including managing employee files, benefits administration, and other P&C-related paperwork.
  • Assist with maintaining People & Culture policies and procedures documentation.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs.
  • Handle employee inquiries and escalate complex issues as necessary.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with People & Culture-related laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Help generate People & Culture reports for management and leadership, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements.

Employee Engagement:

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and help organize employee recognition events or activities.
  • Foster a positive work environment by assisting in employee communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Based in the United States, with a preference for Washington State, though we may also consider Canadian applicants with strong knowledge of US laws and regulations.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a People & Culture/HR administrative role (People & Culture/HR Specialist, People & Culture/HR Coordinator, People & Culture/HR Assistant, or similar).
  • Must have Rippling HRIS experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) for interacting with employees and management.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills to prioritize and manage People & Culture tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors in data or documents.
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve People & Culture-related issues effectively.
  • Customer service orientation for providing support to employees and managers.
  • Adaptability to adjust to changing People & Culture needs and processes.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with People & Culture colleagues and other departments.
  • Cultural sensitivity & inclusivity to promote a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Project management skills for organizing People & Culture initiatives such as recruitment and training.

Salary Range: This compensation range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to geographic locations, job family, job-related skills, experience and relevant training or education, business and organizational needs.

US: $56,800 - $70,000 annually
