About the role
Protect Life Michigan's Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting our team by strengthening PLM's relationships with financial partners through excellent communication, organization and event execution. The core mission is to help steward and grow PLM's finanical partner community by managing our databases, coordinating thoughtful touchpoints, and assisting with financial partner communications and follow-up. This individual will play a key leadership role in planning and executing PLM's large Vision Dinners, ensuring a professional and meaningful experience for every guest. They will also support financial partner engagement through calls, scheduling and preparation for meetings, serving as an organized, relational and mission-centered partner to the Senior Director of Community Engagement.
This position can be filled by a part time or full time applicant, ideally around 30-40 hours of work per week. The position is remote, but the candidate must reside in Michigan.

What you'll do
- Donor Database & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to date financial partner records, contact information and giving history into the CRM
- Track financial partner moves, touchpoints, pledges and follow-up tasks to ensure timely cultivation and stewardship
- Generate reports, lists and insights to support giving strategy and campaign execution
- Assist with data hygiene, segmentation, and improvements to the financial partner pipeline workflow.
- Donor Communications & Stewardship
- Coordinate regular financial partner touchpoints such as emails, calls, handwritten notes, holiday communications, weekly mailers, etc.
- Support the Senior Director of Community Engagement in executing stewardship plans for major finanical partners and key segments
- Help develop compelling messaging that aligns with PLM's mission, values and persuasion strategy.
- Vision Dinners & Fundraising Event Support
- Assist in planning and executing PLM's Vision Dinners, including logistics, speaker coordination, guest communication, venue negotiations, volunteer coordination, table host recruitment oversight and timelines.
- Manage RSVP tracking, table assignments, seating, check-in and financial partner experience cultivation
- This individual will also help coordinate other, smaller financial partner events throughout the year such as table host update dinners, namestorming parties, etc.
- Donor Relations & Engagement
- Make financial stewardship calls as needed, including welcome calls, gratitude calls and follow-up on event attendance.
- Support scheduling and preparation for financial partner meetings and assist in implementing personalized cultivation steps.
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist the Senior Director of Community Engagement with administrative tasks, scheduling and project coordination
- Monitor giving timelines, ensure deadlines are met, and keep projects organized and moving forward
- Manage files, templates, processes and documentation
- Contribute to improving fundraising systems, workflows, and financial partner experience processes
- Team Collaboration & Mission Alignment
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure unified messaging and a consistent financial partner experience
- Support the integration of PLM's persuasion mission into fundraising communications and events.
- Represent PLM with professionalism, warmth and mission-driven enthusiasm in all financial partner interactions.
Qualifications
- Commitment to the pro-life movement and the mission of Protect Life Michigan
- Organized, independent worker, proven skills in interpersonal relations, exceptional oral and written communication
- Google Suite experience required. Event planning and/or financial partner growth experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience and impressive results in event planning or organizing
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to build productive relationships with supporters, students and the community
- Ability to mange multiple projects independently
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits are determined by the needs of the individual, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include:

- Protect Life Michigan is a support-raising organization. The salary and all expenses associated with this position will be fundraised by the candidate. Protect Life Michigan will provide training and coaching in order to help the candidate reach full support and will pay the candidate while they raise support. We have an excellent track record of helping job candidates reach full support: 85% of our candidates have reached full support within 2-3 months.
- You will complete support raising prep work over the first 1-3 weeks, then you will attend a support raising bootcamp around week 4 of your employment with PLM. Subsequently, you will spend the next 6-13 weeks support raising before beginning your job duties.
