About the role

Protect Life Michigan’s Projects Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Director of Programs and all activities within the Programs department. This position requires an individual to be organized, have a keen attention to detail and the flexibility to work on many different projects at once. This person should excel when working independently and must also be able to work well with other people, conduct himself/herself in a professional manner, and be proficient with the most common computer programs. 


This position can be filled by a full time or part time applicant.


What you'll do

  • Track and report on all program service related data, including meeting numbers, outreach numbers, recruits, etc.
  • Compile daily, monthly reports and some quarterly or annual reports,, including Program Statistics and Budget Reports
  • Systemize and streamline high school, college, and young professionals programs as needed, including ongoing changes to materials, processes, and systems.
  • Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to:
    • Designing and writing emails
    • Filing, record keeping, and scheduling
    • Updating PLM’s 2 websites
    • Updating contact lists and managing contacts in Mailchimp
  • Assist in content creation for all programs 
  • Manage student requests, including shipments, requests, and scheduling.
  • Manage requests from various interest forms, getting people plugged into the appropriate Programs.
  • Manage short-term initiatives for the Programs Team which include conducting research, compiling an implementation plan, and then executing the plan.
  • Periodically attend events throughout the state as a representative of Protect Life Michigan
  • Keep track of all outreach materials, ordering and organizing as needed
  • Check daily the program’s email
  • Assist the Director of Programs in other projects or tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the pro-life movement and the mission of Protect Life Michigan. 
  • Organized, independent worker, detail-oriented, interpersonal relationship skills, exceptional oral and written communication.
  • Ability to commit to the position for at least one year. 
  • A positive view of support-raising and/or fundraising 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and in person
  • A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Canva, Mailchimp, popular social media platforms, and graphic design, (preferred)
  • Can easily put together or independently research how to put together a multi-tab spreadsheet with complex formulas, doing data analysis.
  • Proven experience and impressive results in event planning or organizing.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with staff and students.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and productively. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check.


Salary/Benefits

Salary and benefits are determined by the needs of the individual, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include:

  • Protect Life Michigan is a support-raising organization. The salary and all expenses associated with this position will be fundraised by the candidate. Protect Life Michigan will provide training and coaching in order to help the candidate reach full support and will pay the candidate while they raise support. We have an excellent track record of helping job candidates reach full support: 85% of our candidates have reached full support within 2-3 months.
