[Role summary]

The Account Manager – Japan will be responsible for cultivating, and maintaining relationships with clients in Japan along side our reseller partner, Born Digital, ensuring their needs are met with excellence. This role requires a deep understanding of the Japanese market and business culture, and the ability to deliver solutions that drive client satisfaction and closing new business, expansions, and renewals. The role will be base in our Korea HQ. 

[Responsibilities]

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients in Japan.
    • Serve as the primary contact for clients and reseller partner, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support.
    • Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Sales and Account Management:
    • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential new clients.
    • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve quota and drive revenue growth.
    • Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and contracts.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of products and services to clients.
    • Oversee project timelines, manage resources, and address any challenges that may arise.
    • Provide clients with timely updates on project status and deliverables.
  • Market and Industry Insight:
    • Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape in Japan.
    • Use insights to develop account strategies.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and project milestones.
    • Generate reports on account performance, sales metrics, and client feedback.
    • Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities.

[Qualifications]

Must
  • Proven experience with 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Sales, account management or a related role, with a focus on the Japanese market.
  • Proven track record meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Demonstrated outstanding performance in account management, SaaS license expansions, and renewals.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Understand the pain points of design teams in industries such as automotive, technology, games, and MedTech, for example.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with Marketing, Product, and Customer Support teams.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • Fluent in Japanese and Korean, with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese business practices and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Client-focused with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Highly motivated, with a strong drive to achieve results.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Plus
  • Experience in UI/UX design work, with an understanding of the role and value of prototypes in the design process.
  • We do not require strong visual design skills, but we expect strong logical thinking and a willingness to learn low-code knowledge.
  • Experience in teaching or presenting to designers.
  • Experience using ProtoPie and the confidence to deliver basic training to beginners or middle-level ProtoPie users.
  • Experience in Salesforce, Apollo, and other sales-related tools.

[Working Arrangements]
  • Flexible working hours (Generally from 10 AM to 7 PM KST in HQ).
  • Full-time position (during the first 3 months—the probation period, the employee will receive 100% of their salary).
