[About the role]


The Business Development Manager – Americas will drive business growth across North and South America. This role involves the development and execution of strategic initiatives to acquire new clients, expand market share, and strengthen long-term partnerships. A deep understanding of the diverse market dynamics, cultural nuances, and economic trends across the Americas is essential to tailoring solutions that meet client needs and align with company goals.


[Responsibilities]

New Business Acquisition & Lead Generation:

  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities across North and South America, focusing on emerging markets and untapped verticals.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by targeting new clients, generating leads, and expanding market presence in key territories.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies that align with company growth objectives and regional expansion plans.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring sustained interest and engagement in our solutions.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Foster and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with key clients and partners across the Americas, ensuring high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients, offering expert guidance and tailored solutions to meet their business needs.
  • Regularly engage with clients to assess satisfaction, identify evolving requirements, and proactively seek new growth opportunities.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor, helping clients optimize the use of our products and services to meet their business objectives.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals, driving revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that align with clients' pain points and business goals.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities within existing accounts to maximize customer value and revenue growth.

Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments across the Americas to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Use market insights to tailor solutions and identify opportunities for new product development or refinement.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving customer needs and competitive dynamics, ensuring our company is positioned as a market leader.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Customer Support) to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful product delivery.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams based on client feedback, competitive activity, and market trends.
  • Ensure smooth handover of new clients to the customer success team for post-sale support and ongoing relationship management.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress against targets within CRM systems.
  • Track key sales metrics, pipeline health, and account performance, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, continuously refining strategies to meet regional growth targets.


[Qualifications]

Must

  • At least 3+ years of experience in B2B business development, sales, or account management, with a strong focus on the Americas region.
  • Proven track record of generating new business, closing sales, and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of the business challenges in automotive, technology, gaming, MedTech, and related industries, with the ability to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Customer Support) to drive client success and business growth.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, especially for Latin America markets.
  • Solid understanding of the Americas business landscape, including cultural nuances, economic trends, and regulatory dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Proactive, client-focused, and solutions-oriented approach with a passion for business development.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Start-up mindset with a results-driven focus, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits and events as required.

Plus

  • Familiarity with UI/UX design processes, particularly the role of prototypes in design and innovation.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code technologies and how they can be leveraged to meet client needs.
  • Experience delivering presentations or training sessions, particularly for design teams or SaaS users.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, HubSpot) to manage sales pipelines.
  • Previous experience working in multiple countries across North and South America, with knowledge of local business practices, regulatory environments, and market conditions.

[Working Arrangements]

  • 10 AM to 7 PM PST recommended
  • Full-time position (during the first 3 months—the probation period, the employee will receive 100% of their salary).
