[About the role]

As a Product Designer, you will leverage your subject matter expertise to address a variety of common business challenges. You will tackle moderately complex problems, provide analysis, and offer limited project direction. You will make informed decisions within established practices and procedures, evaluate unique circumstances, and make recommendations accordingly.

In the Design Team, you will design the end-to-end experience of the ProtoPie products, collaborating closely with agile team members such as PMs, Engineers, and QAs. We are seeking a passionate product designer with over 8 years of professional experience in software companies.

This position is based in Seoul, South Korea, and requires candidates to either reside in or plan to relocate to South Korea.

[Responsibilities]

• Take ownership of the design process for specific product areas, from initial discovery and problem framing to ideation, detailed design, implementation support, and post-launch iteration
• Discover users’ problems and capture their needs
• Define design challenges and goals with various qualitative and quantitative data
• Interpret solution ideas into user interfaces
• Work closely with other designers, PM, Engineers, and QAs to implement the products

[Qualifications]

Must

• 8+ years of professional experiences at software companies • Please attach your portfolio to the resume or application (Please use "Website link" for the portfolio submission).
• Strong understanding of the design process and required methodologies in the context
• Ability to operate individually and cross-functionally with minimal handholding
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expertise in developing comprehensive design systems and guidelines tailored to diverse service use cases and contexts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in prototyping
• A solid understanding of software development processes and technical constraints, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams
• Those who are free to travel abroad (No restrictions on travel, such as reasons for disqualification)

• Experience conducting diverse user research and integrating insights into product design
• Proficient in ProtoPie with substantial hands-on professional experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in both English and Korean

[Working Arrangements]

• Flexible working hours (Generally from 10 AM to 7 PM KST in HQ).
• 6-month contract position
• HQ: Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea
