[About the role]
The Account Manager – China will build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients across China, working closely with our authorized reseller partners. The primary goal is to ensure that client needs are met with exceptional service and tailored solutions, driving customer satisfaction and business growth. This role demands an in-depth understanding of the Chinese market, local business culture, and the ability to deliver results across client expansion, new business acquisition, and renewals.
[Responsibilities]
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and sustain strong, strategic relationships with key clients in China, ensuring long-term partnership success.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and the reseller partner, managing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.
- Conduct regular check-ins and meetings with clients to assess satisfaction, gather actionable feedback, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on product adoption and usage, positioning the company's solutions as integral to their success.
Sales and Account Growth:
- Identify new business opportunities and drive the expansion of existing accounts, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
- Develop and implement tailored account strategies to meet sales targets, increase market share, and exceed client expectations.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts, aligning solutions to client needs and business objectives.
- Manage renewals and upsell opportunities, focusing on client retention and long-term engagement.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, and Customer Support) to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions and services.
- Oversee project timelines, manage resource allocation, and proactively resolve potential delivery obstacles.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project progress, ensuring transparency and client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight:
- Stay informed about trends, competitors, and developments in the Chinese market to shape effective account strategies.
- Leverage market insights to advise clients on best practices, positioning the company as a thought leader.
Reporting & Performance Analysis:
- Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, sales progress, and project milestones.
- Generate reports to track key account metrics, sales activities, and overall performance.
- Analyze client data and feedback to identify trends, uncover new opportunities, and optimize account management efforts.
[Qualifications]
Must
- At least 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, account management, or a related field, with a strong focus on the Chinese market.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas and objectives.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing client relationships, SaaS license expansions, renewals, and up-sell opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers across all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of the pain points and challenges design teams face in automotive, technology, gaming, MedTech, and related industries.
- Ability to work effectively across internal teams (Marketing, Product, Customer Support) to deliver customer-centric solutions.
- A solutions-oriented, proactive approach to managing accounts and resolving client challenges.
Requirements
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, with proficiency in English.
- Deep knowledge of Chinese business practices, cultural nuances, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record in building and maintaining effective, long-term client relationships.
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Start-up mindset with a focus on results, agility, and continuous improvement.
- A passion for customer success and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and events if needed.
Plus
- Experience in UI/UX design processes or familiarity with design tools, especially with a focus on the role of prototypes in the design workflow.
- Strong logical thinking and a willingness to learn low-code/no-code tools and technologies.
- Experience delivering training sessions or presentations to design teams, particularly on software such as ProtoPie.
- Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, Apollo, or other CRM platforms.
