The Opportunity

Proximity is entering its scaling phase. The company is expanding its data and automation footprint while preparing for new models such as federal rebates and intelligent workflow orchestration. We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead this evolution by defining the architectural vision, maturing the engineering organization, and building the foundation for scalable, intelligent automation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design and evolution of Proximity’s data and automation architecture.
• Build frameworks that unify analytical, transactional, and agentic workloads.
• Establish engineering systems that support data integrity, quality, testing, and reliability.
• Mentor and develop technical leaders across infrastructure, data, and application domains.
• Partner with Product and Operations to align roadmap and technical strategy.
• Expand the automation platform to support configurable workflows and AI-assisted task execution.
• Maintain and represent high standards of security, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Grow the engineering organization responsibly, introducing specialization as the platform matures.

• Experienced engineering leader with hands-on roots in large-scale data or automation platforms.
• Fluent in workflow orchestration, event-driven systems, and AI/LLM integration concepts.
