We are seeking a Mid-Level QA Engineer with strong automation skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of QA methodologies, experience with automation frameworks, and a passion for ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid)
Experience: 2–5 Years
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Prepare API automation scripts (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
- Collaborate with the development team to understand features and functionalities for effective testing.
- Conduct manual testing for complex scenarios where automation is not feasible.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide input on testability.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance software quality.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Mentor junior QA engineers and share best practices in automation testing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to QA and automation.
What We're Looking For:
- Knowledge of automation testing; Playwright experience is a plus.
- Understanding of DRY, KISS, and POM principles.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Understanding of UI and API testing.
- Understanding of QA processes and test automation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to identify the root cause of a bug and explain it in the bug ticket.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively. MUST BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH (non-negotiable, as this engineer will be working directly with project teams in the USA).
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
