Position Summary

The Project Manager supports the Apprenti Project Management Office (PMO). Utilizing established methodology, governance, and standards, this individual directs cross-functional projects intended to enhance organizational scalability and operational performance. This role collaborates with internal partners to convert strategic objectives into actionable projects, directs portfolio intake and prioritization, and manages project risk escalations. Additionally, the Project Manager plays a vital role in team development by providing ongoing mentorship, daily guidance, and feedback to colleagues of the PMO. By fostering a culture of professional development and continuous learning, the Project Manager ensures that PMO standards and best practices are consistently applied across all organizational initiatives.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Ensure consistent application of PMO methodology, templates, and governance standards across the project portfolio, while recommending refinements based on frontline experience.
  • Drive cross-functional operational improvement projects from initial scoping through successful execution and delivery.
  • Manage the daily intake and prioritization of Operational Enablement project requests, ensuring strict adherence to established governance criteria.
  • Partner with team leaders and subject matter experts to identify process inefficiencies, workflow challenges, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Develop project plans including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and clear deliverables.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental workstreams  to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful project execution.
  • Facilitate project meetings and deliver regular, high-impact status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for workflows, procedures, and operational processes to improve organizational clarity and efficiency.
  • Lead the development and implementation of change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new processes, tools, and systems.
  • Identify  opportunities for automation, improved systems usage, and workflow redesign.
  • Maintain oversight of project documentation and tracking systems to ensure operational transparency and team accountability.
  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement Specialist and functional leaders to ensure all process improvement initiatives remain aligned with the broader PMO roadmap.
  • Assist with the development of internal reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements and monitor overall portfolio health.


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in Project Management, PMO, or operational leadership roles, with a proven track record of mentoring or managing junior team members.
  • Prior experience operating within or supporting a PMO governance, methodologies, and reporting structures preferred.
  • Professional certification in project management or process improvement (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma) highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of concurrent projects, with a strong aptitude for prioritizing competing demands and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the proven ability to manage complex, multifaceted projects simultaneously.
  • Skilled in orchestrating work across cross-functional teams and departments, with demonstrated experience presenting project and portfolio updates to senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with the ability to guide teams toward decisive actions and clear next steps.
  • Comfortable documenting processes and translating complex workflows into clear operational procedures.
  • Thorough attention to detail and a commitment to driving projects from inception through successful completion.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience with operational systems, data reporting tools and Salesforce is strongly preferred.


What We Offer

The target salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. Placement within this range is determined by candidate qualifications, skills and relevant experience.

Physical Duties & Work Environment

  • Operates remotely within a predominantly digital workspace.
  • Capable of remaining seated or standing at a workstation for prolonged durations.
  • Proficient in utilizing both macOS or Windows OS operating environments across diverse organizational software platforms.
  • Available to conduct regular phone and video meetings with internal and external partners.
  • Occasional travel up to 10% may be requested for major functions and onsite team gatherings, though not mandatory.
