Project Management Consultant (6-Month Contract)

Avicado Construction Technology Services is looking for a Project Management Consultant to join our growing Client Services team, with a focus on Technology Governance Operations. You will play a critical role in driving governance, standardization, and operational excellence across software implementation and technology portfolios.

What you’ll do…  

  • Project & Delivery Management 
    • Work in complex and ambiguous client environments 
    • Develop and execute project plans including milestones, tasks, and resource allocation 
    • Deliver high-quality project outcomes on time and within scope and budget 
    • Prepare and deliver project status reports and maintain accurate documentation 
  • Technology Governance & Operations 
    • Support the development and execution of technology governance frameworks, standards, and processes 
    • Ensure alignment to governance policies, controls, and best practices across projects and platforms 
    • Provide management and oversight of Project Coordinator, ensuring execution of high-volume operational tasks such as intake management, meeting preparation, and governance support activities 
    • Drive consistency in tools, workflows, and reporting structures across client environments 
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of playbooks, SOPs, and governance documentation 
    • Monitor compliance with governance processes and escalate risks or deviations 
  • Stakeholder & Communication Management 
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and executive stakeholders 
    • Build strong relationships across technical and non-technical audiences 
    • Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and decision-making forums 
  • Risk, Data & Continuous Improvement 
    • Identify, manage, and communicate project and operational risks with mitigation strategies 
    • Analyze project and operational data to drive insights and continuous improvement 
    • Track KPIs and performance metrics related to governance and delivery effectiveness 
    • Recommend improvements to processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency 
  • Tools & Systems Management 
    • Leverage project and governance tools (e.g., Buganzier, Taskflow, Gemini, NotebookLM, Google Workspace, Apps Script, ect.) 
    • Contribute to reporting and dashboards (Looker Studio and Apps Script) for governance visibility 

You should have…  

  • 2–5 years of Technical Project Management experience in software implementation and lifecycle management 
  • Experience working within or supporting technology governance, PMO, or operational frameworks 
  • Ability to advise clients confidently in ambiguous and complex environments 
  • Strong ability to ramp quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable across different team styles and environments 
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a responsive and client-focused approach 
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to stakeholders 
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (Buganzier, Taskflow, Gemini, NotebookLM, Google Workspace, Apps Script, etc.) 

Preferred qualifications  

  • Experience in construction, real estate, or technology consulting environments 
  • Exposure to PMO, governance, or portfolio management structures 
  • Experience working with large, complex organizations or enterprise clients 
  • Ability to bring innovative ideas to improve governance, operations, and delivery
