What You’ll Be Doing

This isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. This role exists to help people advance in their journey with Christ in Tulsa, America, and the World. Whether you're leading teams, crafting meaningful experiences, or working behind the scenes, your role at BattleCreek Church makes an eternal impact!

The Campus Pastor is the spiritual and strategic leader of a BattleCreek Church campus, responsible for creating a healthy, thriving ministry environment where people can take next steps in their journeys with Christ. This role combines pastoral leadership, team development, and operational oversight to ensure the campus is aligned with the mission, vision, and values of BattleCreek Church. By shepherding people, developing leaders, and leading the campus with excellence, the Campus Pastor helps glorify God by creating opportunities for all people, all ages, all the time to advance in their journey with Christ.

Your Day-to-Day

While each BattleCreek campus has its own unique rhythms and needs, the role of the Campus Pastor remains centered on three key areas of leadership: pastoral care, operational awareness, and team building and vision casting.

Pastoral Care

  • Provide spiritual and organizational leadership by leading a team of ministry leaders and shepherding both staff and the congregation to take next steps in their journeys with Christ
  • Serve as the primary Sunday communicator on stage for the campus, including announcements, giving, prayer, and call to salvation
  • Teach approximately 2-5 times per year with additional teaching opportunities at campus events and special gatherings

Team Building & Vision Casting

  • Responsible for the leadership and development of ministry staff, fostering spiritual growth, leadership capacity, and ministry effectiveness through intentional mentoring and encouragement
  • Cultivate team culture by providing clear expectations, consistent coaching, performance conversations, and support for personal and spiritual growth
  • Translate church-wide vision into actionable campus initiatives, equipping staff and ministry leaders to implement strategies that support the mission of helping people advance in their journeys with Christ

Operational Awareness

  • Partner with church leadership and central support teams to ensure ministries are aligned, resources are leveraged effectively, and standards of excellence are consistently upheld across each campus
  • Responsible for stewardship of campus budgets to align financial resources with strategic priorities of BattleCreek Church and its mission
  • Establish clear, mission-driven goals for the campus and ministry teams, providing direction, accountability, and measurable outcomes that advance the church's mission
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of employment practices and organizational policies, partnering with Human Resources to make informed decisions, foster a healthy work environment, and help minimize organizational risk

What We’re Looking For

The must-haves for this role:

Education & Experience: We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree and a Seminary degree or equivalent in related discipline, preferred (but it is not a requirement) and at least 5 years’ experience. Having experience in a multi-site environment is an added plus!

Skills & Strengths: We are looking for someone who:

  • Enthusiastically embraces and champions the mission, vision, and values of BattleCreek Church
  • Leads with a shepherd's heart, building authentic relationships and caring well for people
  • Casts vision that inspires staff, dream teamers, and the congregation to pursue the mission together
  • Communicates with clarity, authenticity, and the ability to engage people from the stage and in everyday conversations
  • Equips and develops leaders, empowering others to grow in their gifts and make an impact
  • Demonstrates humility, initiative, and a commitment to continual spiritual, personal, and leadership growth

If you’re driven by a desire to make an eternal impact and be part of God’s plan for Gospel transformation, you’ll thrive here!
