Bookmans Entertainment Exchange has been serving Arizona communities for nearly 50 years. Originally a used bookstore, Bookmans has expanded to include various forms of media such as books, video games, music and movies as well as musical instruments, housewares, and collectibles. We buy, sell, and trade with our customers to acquire the majority of our inventory, proudly following a sustainable business model that keeps items out of landfills and gives them new life. Additionally, Bookmans speaks out against censorship and promotes freedom of expression at every turn.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and promoting a customer-friendly store atmosphere by providing exceptional customer assistance. To apply knowledge of books to buying, processing and selling, continuously incorporating positive customer focused strategies.  Staff prices, sorts, stocks and merchandises all areas of the department as well as works at the Incoming Merchandise Counter buying and pricing merchandise. 

Job Requirements:

·       Superior knowledge in buying, processing and selling books

·       Excellent communication and customer service skills with motivation to serve the public

·       Understanding the pricing, trading and discount systems

·       General knowledge of products sold at Bookmans

·       Knowledge of store sections and layout

·       Ability to work independently with guidance and direction from Book Department Supervisor and Management

·       Ability to use reference materials

This position is full-time (minimum of 32 hours per week) and must have open availability on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and be able to work five shifts per week. Rate of Pay $15.45/per hour.
