About The Role:

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to support NDIS participants with complex behaviours and support needs. You will provide person-centered support, promote safety and independence, and assist participants to achieve their goals. The role requires a calm, consistent and professional approach, with a strong understanding of maintaining professional boundaries and responding effectively to behaviours of concern.


Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to participants with complex behavioural support needs
  • Support participants with daily living, community access and achieving their individual goals
  • Follow Behaviour Support Plans and Client Care Plans including established safety strategies
  • Respond calmly and appropropriately to behaviours of concern and challenging behaviours
  • Work collaboratively with the broader care team


About You:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a similar/related field
  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a Disability Support Worker
  • Experience supporting participants specifically with mental illness and complex behaviours of concern
  • Strong understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to follow support plans and procedures
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality and composure in high-pressure situations
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check as well as First Aid and CPR Training
