We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Fork Truck Driver / Mover to support our production and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of materials, components, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility and yard, ensuring production teams are supplied efficiently and goods are handled in accordance with company procedures.


The role requires a proactive individual with strong attention to safety, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Load, unload, transport, and store materials, components, and finished products.
  • Supply production areas with required materials and remove completed items as needed.
  • Move oversized or specialist equipment within the facility and yard.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles and deliveries.
  • Assist with stock movements and inventory management activities.
  • Ensure materials are stored correctly and in designated locations.
  • Complete movement records and documentation accurately.
  • Operate all equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and training.
  • Conduct daily pre-use inspections of forklifts and report any defects immediately.
  • Ensure work areas, storage locations, and yard spaces are maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Forklift Licence/Certification.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible and dependable approach to work.
  • Ability to safely handle materials of varying sizes and weights.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience moving large fabricated steel products or similar materials.
  • Counterbalance and/or reach truck certification.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or warehouse management systems.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Overhead crane experience would be advantageous.
