Role:

Associate Consulting Manager, ESG (Workiva)

Location:

  • Office Options: Hybrid or Remote. For team members residing in Toronto, we expect 2-4 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules. For all other cities, we welcome remote work. . 
  • Travel Expectations: 20%


What you'll do

  • Support the delivery of ESG implementation engagements by assisting with requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with clients and project team members to document business processes, identify reporting requirements, and support ESG reporting initiatives.
  • Develop project deliverables, including functional documentation, status reports, testing materials, and training resources.
  • Assist in conducting client workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings to gather information and communicate project updates.
  • Monitor project milestones, manage assigned workstreams, and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Research evolving ESG regulations, reporting standards, and industry trends to support client recommendations and project execution.
  • Stay informed on Workiva platform capabilities, enhancements, and certification requirements to effectively support client implementations.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of consulting, ESG reporting, financial reporting, compliance, technology implementation, or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Sustainability, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with Workiva, particularly ESG, GRC, or Financial Reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting one or more full lifecycle system implementations.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including GRI, SASB Standards, ISSB, CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity supporting ESG disclosure questionnaires and reporting programs, such as CDP, EcoVadis, S&P Global CSA, MSCI, Sustainalytics, or similar sustainability assessments
  • Understanding of System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including requirements gathering, testing, training, and deployment activities.
  • Experience tracking project milestones, managing action items, and supporting stakeholder communications.
  • Exposure to sustainability reporting, ESG programs, governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, or regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Workiva certifications or related ESG, sustainability, business analysis, or project management certifications

The compensation range for this position is $118,000 – $149,000 CAD. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on upon several factors, including, level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background, geography and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our bonus program.
