About the role

• Job Description:

This position is responsible for general accounting functions and ensuring financial statements are accurate. The role includes: Recording journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, Prepaid Accounting and Monthly accruals/Subsequent Settlements. The Staff Accountant must be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external customers. Working with Finance team members and other internal departments, ensure financial transactions are recorded properly and reported timely.

Essential Functions:

·         Record needed journal entries

·         Reconcile general ledger accounts

·         Independently analyze each GL account and support Audits

·         Interacts frequently with inter-departmental associates for the purpose of resolving outstanding issues

·         Cash Forecasting

·         Perform related duties and special projects as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

·         6+ years’ experience in GL, Prepaid accounting and Accruals

·         Must be proficient in working with high volume and tight deadlines.

·         Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels inside and outside of the organization

Preferred Skills/Experience:

·         6+ years’ experience in GL Accounting and Monthly Reporting

·         Knowledge of NetSuite

·         Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
