Seasonal Inventory Assistant

Position Overview:


The Inventory Assistant plays a key role in supporting the inventory operations of our warehouse. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory management, stock replenishment, receiving, and order fulfillment while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and committed to maintaining efficient warehouse operations to

meet business goals.


Key Responsibilities:


Inventory Management:


  • Assist with stock replenishment and inventory cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or low stock levels to the Inventory Supervisor.
  • Help with kitting and assembling items for shipment or storage.
  • Receiving Operations
  • Aid in the receiving process, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Properly label, organize, and store received goods.


Order Fulfillment:


In the event that the inventory team is deemed “slow” by the Inventory Supervisor, inventory assistants may aid in packing tasks with the approval of all relevant Warehouse Supervisors and individuals who would be involved in managing said employees’ labor.


Warehouse Operations:


  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as ladders and pallet jacks safely and effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Work effectively within a team to meet daily and monthly performance targets.
  • Communicate any issues, delays, or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Other applicable Inventory Assistant duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the Warehouse Leadership team.


Qualifications:


  • Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills for working within a team and reporting issues or concerns.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners is a plus.


Physical Requirements:


  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work in a busy warehouse environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Capability to bend, stretch, twist, stoop, lift (up to 25 lbs), and reach overhead repeatedly.
  • Requires the ability to push or pull 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb and work from ladders safely.
  • Comfort working in varying warehouse conditions, including cold or hot environments.
  • Near vision to identify details at close range.
