Compensation
$200,000 – $250,000 total compensation (base salary plus quarterly performance bonus). Top performers earn above this range, and there is no cap.

About the Role
You’ll lead a team of pre-litigation attorneys in our Kansas City office while carrying your own personal injury caseload. You’ll report to the Regional Pre-Litigation General Manager and work with a dedicated case manager. Paralegals and intake staff handle the administrative work, so your time goes to clients, negotiations, and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of pre-litigation attorneys
• Manage your own caseload from intake through demand and resolution
• Keep clients informed with proactive, consistent communication
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters to maximize client recovery
• Draft demand letters, settlement agreements, and correspondence, and review your team’s work for accuracy
• Direct the paralegals and case managers supporting the Kansas City office
• Meet regularly with the Pre-Lit General Manager on career growth and strategy
• Build referral relationships that grow your book of business and your income

Qualifications

• Active Missouri Bar license (required)
• Eligibility for a Kansas Bar license, by UBE score or reciprocity
• Two+ years of personal injury experience
• Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising attorneys (preferred)
• A client-first approach, grounded in how a case outcome changes someone’s life
• Self-direction and organization in a high-volume practice
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Comfort with legal technology and case management software
