Senior Accountant – Global Accounting Operations

THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support multi-entity accounting activities across the US, Canada, and UK. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys owning complex accounting processes from end to end.

You will partner closely with global finance leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP standards. Shift: Supporting global teams across North America and EMEA


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze accounting activities related to Cost of Sales, Operating Expenses (Opex), and Capital Expenditures (Capex) to support accurate financial reporting and operational insights.
  • Review and approve Accounts Payable bills and expense transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and approval workflows.
  • Oversee accounting for Deferred Contract Costs in accordance with ASC 340, including capitalization, amortization, and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain and monitor the company’s Fixed Assets register, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset tracking.
  • Support capitalization and accounting treatment for Internal-Use Software under ASC 350, partnering with technical and operational stakeholders as needed.
  • Handle Inventory Accounting activities, including reconciliations, valuation support, and inventory-related reporting.
  • Review and reconcile Corporate Credit Card expenses, ensuring timely coding and compliance with expense policies.
  • Manage and track Prepaid Expenses, including monthly amortization schedules and reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare and complete Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations across multiple international subsidiaries, including:
    • US Technology entities
    • US Services entities
    • Canada operations
    • UK operations
  • Assist with month-end close activities, audit support, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen accounting controls and streamline global accounting operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably supporting multinational or shared services environments.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 340 and ASC 350 guidance.
  • Experience handling multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments.
  • Advanced reconciliation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting automation tools is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid setup.
  • Experience with Netsuite
