Edina Seasonal Services

Lawn/Snow Crew Member

About the Role

A growing, fast-paced full service lawn, hardscape, trees, landscape maintenance, and snow removal company seeks Lawn Care and Landscape Maintenance Crew Members. We offer work all year round, transitioning from lawn and landscape season into snow removal season, so this is a stable, year-round position rather than seasonal layoffs. The preferred candidate is an energetic, highly motivated individual with experience in the lawn and/or landscape industry. You may apply for our Lawn Care team or our Landscape Maintenance team — cross-training between departments is common as business needs require.

Primary Responsibilities

Lawn Care:

Operate lawn maintenance equipment including, but not limited to: edger, string trimmer, mower, and backpack blower

Assist Crew Leader with performing equipment maintenance and repair daily

Perform end-of-day tasks in preparation for the next day

Adhere to company safety program and brand while performing duties

Promptly and respectfully communicate with customers to address their concerns, feedback and/or questions

Adhere to schedules and routes per management direction

Landscape Maintenance (Summer):

Effectively manage your time to efficiently complete landscape projects

Operate landscape equipment and tools including, but not limited to: MT100, skid, chainsaw, hedge trimmers, dump trailers, etc.

Be able to properly perform a variety of landscaping tasks, such as tear outs, laying mulch, shrub trimming, perennial cutdowns, installing sod, edging, plant installations, etc.

Follow company safety program

Safely transport crew and equipment from site to site

Complete paperwork and mobile applications as required

Maintain project schedules and report on project progress

Winter (All Crew Members):

Snow plowing/shoveling as needed each snow event

Cut and deliver firewood and complete any other tasks assigned by the Snow Manager

Other Duties:

Assist across departments — Lawn Care or Landscape Maintenance — as advised by management

What We're Looking For

Required:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to obtain a Medical DOT health card

Clean driving record. No minor violations in the past 3 years (any accidents and minor speeding) and no major violations in the past 5 years.

Reliable personal transportation

Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and perform repetitive physical labor

Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather

Snow removal/plowing during winter months

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

1-2 years of experience in residential lawn care or related field (will train the right person)

Mechanically inclined

Proficiency with mobile and cloud-based technology

What to Expect Day-to-Day

Your day starts at 6:30 AM loading up and reviewing the route with your crew. From there, you'll move between residential and commercial properties — mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing, or, depending on your crew assignment, working on landscape projects such as bed maintenance, mulch installs, and plant care — keeping jobs on schedule and looking sharp. Expect to be on your feet and working with your hands all day, with the occasional customer interaction where professionalism matters. Days wrap up with equipment clean-up and prep for the next morning. In winter, the work shifts to snow plowing and removal at the same early-start pace.
