About the role

The FP&A Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, business analysis, and strategic decision-making across EMS. Reporting to the CFO, this position will work closely with the CEO, Director of Human Resources, and other business leaders to develop reporting, financial models, forecasts, and actionable insights that support company performance and growth.

 

This is a highly visible and hands-on role suited for an analyst who enjoys working across functions, digging into data, and turning information into meaningful business insights. The FP&A Analyst will have exposure to financial, sales, workforce, and operational data and will help improve the systems, reporting, and analytics used to manage the business.

What you'll do

  • Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate revenue, expenses, profitability, headcount, and other key business drivers.
  • Prepare recurring financial and operational reporting for the CEO, CFO, and senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring action.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance KPIs, dashboards, and management reporting across the organization.
  • Support weekly sales meetings through preparation and analysis of bookings, pipeline, forecast, attainment, and other sales performance metrics.
  • Analyze Salesforce data and partner with Sales leadership to improve visibility into pipeline, revenue forecasting, and sales performance.
  • Partner with Human Resources on workforce analytics, including headcount planning, payroll and labor cost analysis, compensation modeling, salary bands, incentive compensation, and workforce forecasting.
  • Support financial analysis related to hiring plans, organizational changes, compensation decisions, and annual merit and bonus planning.
  • Perform monthly budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis and identify the underlying drivers impacting financial performance.
  • Assist with revenue and expense analysis, including trends, margins, customer or product performance, and other business drivers.
  • Serve as a financial and systems analyst by identifying opportunities to improve data integrity, reporting processes, system utilization, and automation.
  • Work across financial and operational systems to reconcile data and create consistent, reliable reporting for leadership.
  • Build ad hoc models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Human Resources, Operations, and other departments to understand business needs and translate data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, business analytics, or a related role.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large and complex data sets.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, such as Claude, to support financial modeling, data analysis, reporting, or process efficiencies is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM platform preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, financial reporting, business intelligence, or data visualization tools preferred.
  • Experience within a technology, SaaS, healthcare technology, or similar business environment is a plus.
