About the Role
We are seeking an experienced approvals professional to join our team and support the delivery of environmental impact reports, planning approvals, and related work for complex major projects.
This role is suited to a consultant who enjoys working across multidisciplinary teams, guiding approval pathways, preparing high-quality documentation, and helping clients navigate regulatory requirements with confidence.
The position will involve contributing to environmental assessments and approvals across renewable energy, oil & gas, industrial development, resources, land development, and government policy.
The preferred location for this role is Adelaide, however, other suitable locations may be considered. The role offers a flexible mix of office and home-based work, with occasional travel for client meetings, site visits and project requirements.
The successful candidate will need to:
• Work alongside industry specialists to deliver environmental impact assessments and approvals on high-profile, challenging projects.
· Coordinate multidisciplinary specialist teams on complex environmental approval projects.
· Support Project Managers to deliver projects within allocated timelines, budgets and regulatory frameworks.
· Build positive connections by representing EHS Support in client meetings and across the wider industry.
Support and mentor early career professionals, helping to create an engaged and capable team.
Additionally, experience in Oil and Gas / Energy Approvals is desirable, including
· Demonstrated experience leading or supporting approvals for onshore oil and gas developments, including Environmental Impact Reports, Consultation Plans, and Statements of Environmental Objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
• A tertiary degree in Planning, Environmental Science / Engineering, Management, or similar.
• Experience in environmental approvals, both primary and secondary.
• Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
• Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
• Broader experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement is advantageous.
• Strong written, verbal, and strategic thinking skills.
• Authorisation to work in Australia.
