About the role
The Senior Regulatory Project Manager is accountable for planning and delivering regulatory change, remediation and supervisory commitments across the firm’s Irish regulated entities, with expanding responsibility for the UK. Reporting to the Director Client & Vendor Management, COO Ireland, the role brings seasoned project management discipline to the firm’s regulatory agenda, turning regulatory requirements, audit findings and supervisory feedback into well-governed projects that land on time, with clear evidence and sustainable outcomes.
The role works as a key first-line partner to Risk and Compliance, with a particular focus on Distributor oversight, regulatory deliverables and supervisory engagement. It requires someone who combines strong regulatory understanding with the structure, judgement and stakeholder skills to drive delivery across multiple teams.
What you will do
Regulatory Project & Program Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of regulatory projects and remediation programs across the firm’s Irish & UK regulated entities.
- Translate regulatory requirements, supervisory feedback and audit findings into clearly scoped projects with defined deliverables, milestones, owners and success criteria.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans, RAID logs, dependency maps and resource plans, ensuring delivery is accurate, complete and on time.
- Manage scope, change control and prioritisation across concurrent regulatory initiatives, escalating conflicts and trade-offs early.
- Ensure project outputs are embedded into business-as-usual operations, with documented processes, controls and clear handover to accountable owners.
- Ensure delivery remains compliant with applicable laws, CBI/EBA guidance, FCA requirements and Firm policy.
Distributor Oversight & Remediation Projects
- Lead projects to strengthen Distributor oversight, including uplift of AML/CFT and KYB/KYC controls, contract and T&C updates, and remediation of identified gaps.
- Coordinate delivery of improvements to Distributor MI, service reviews, issue tracking and escalation, working closely with Client Management, Compliance and Distributors.
- Ensure remediation evidence (MI packs, service review records, complaints reconciliation, AML assurance outputs and enforcement actions) is captured and audit-ready at project close.
Supervisory, Audit & Regulatory Commitments
- Own the plan for delivering regulatory commitments, supervisory actions and audit findings within scope, tracking progress to timely and evidenced closure.
- Coordinate preparation of regulatory submissions, evidence packs and operational responses, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is consistent.
- Act as a senior first-line project contact for regulatory reviews, audits and assurance activity, working in partnership with Risk and Compliance.
- Ensure consistent project approach and delivery standards across Ireland and the UK.
Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Establish and run project governance, including steering groups, working groups. Maintain decision logs and clear escalation routes.
- Produce concise, accurate status reporting for Senior Management, Committees and the Board on regulatory project progress, risks and issues.
- Manage a broad stakeholder group across Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, Technology, Client Management and third parties, holding contributors to agreed commitments.
- Act under delegated authority, where required, to represent regulatory projects in regulatory, audit and internal governance forums.
Delivery Capability & Continuous Improvement
- Support and complement the COO Ireland by providing senior delivery leadership across regulatory change and remediation.
- Contribute to the design of a scalable, repeatable approach to regulatory change delivery.
- Capture lessons learned and drive process efficiency, simplification and automation opportunities identified through project work.
- Coach and guide project contributors, building project delivery discipline across the wider team.
What you will bring
- Significant experience (typically 6+ years) in project or program management, with a proven record of delivering regulatory change or remediation in a regulated financial services firm.
- Strong working knowledge of the Irish and/or UK regulatory environment, ideally including e-money, payments, AML/CFT and outsourcing or third-party oversight requirements.
- Experience engaging with, or preparing material for, the Central Bank of Ireland, FCA or equivalent supervisors.
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines and limited resources.
- Confident communicator with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and the presence to hold cross-functional teams to account without needing direct line authority.
- Strong planning, risk management, and reporting skills, with a pragmatic risk-based and evidence-focused approach.
- Recognised project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP) is desirable.
