Excel Impact is looking for a Data & AI Analyst to join our team and help transform data into actionable insights, scalable reporting solutions, and practical AI-powered applications. This role combines data analysis, business intelligence, AI-assisted development, automation, and emerging technologies to solve real-world business problems and drive measurable impact.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, curious, and business-oriented, with strong expertise in SQL, BigQuery, and Tableau, complemented by experience with Python and AI development tools. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex or ambiguous questions into practical data, reporting, and technology solutions.

About the role

As a Data & AI Analyst,, you will play a critical role in analyzing data, developing reporting and analytics solutions, and providing actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will work with a variety of data sources and technologies, including BigQuery, SQL, Tableau, Google Sheets, APIs, and Python, while leveraging AI tools to enhance analysis, automate workflows, and improve how teams access and use data.

Beyond traditional data analysis, this role will help expand the organization’s use of AI and agentic workflows. You will have opportunities to leverage tools such as Claude Code, Google AI Studio, and other emerging AI technologies to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive processes, develop intelligent workflows, and create innovative ways for teams to access, interpret, and act on data.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical, technical, and business skills with a natural curiosity about how technology can solve real-world problems. You should be comfortable taking an ambiguous business question and turning it into a structured analysis, actionable recommendation, reporting solution, or automated workflow. You should also be excited to continuously explore new technologies and identify practical ways to improve how we work.

Most importantly, this role requires the ability to connect the full journey from business problem → data → analysis → solution → measurable business impact, using data and AI not simply as tools, but as drivers of better decisions, greater efficiency, and business performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Business Intelligence: Analyze and transform data using SQL, BigQuery, and Tableau to answer business questions, identify trends, develop insights, and support decision-making. Build and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, KPIs, and analytical solutions while applying strong data visualization, data quality, and storytelling practices.
  • AI, Automation & Reporting Innovation: Leverage AI-assisted development and vibe coding tools such as Claude Code and Google AI Studio to accelerate analysis, reporting, development, and automation. Enhance dashboards, reporting workflows, and analytical tools through AI automation to create efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Business Partnership & Innovation: Translate business questions into data, analytics, reporting, automation, and AI solutions and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve revenue, business efficiency, quality, and decision-making, while continuously exploring emerging technologies and their practical business applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on SQL experience in data analysis and/or business intelligence.
  • Strong experience with Tableau and BigQuery.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience with Vibe Coding, Claude Code, Google AI Studio, or similar AI development tools to accelerate analysis, development, research, and automation.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into practical analytical and technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of Tableau experience.
  • Experience with AI agents, agentic workflows, MCP, LLM APIs, or AI-powered automation.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery or GCP APIs.
  • Experience developing semantic layers, analytical data models, metrics frameworks, or governed datasets.
  • Anthropic Claude Certified Developer — Foundations (CCDV-F) or equivalent hands-on AI development experience.
  • Strong interest in AI-assisted development, vibe coding, and emerging agentic technologies.
