Industrial Maintenance Technician (Part-Time)

The Role 

We are seeking a part-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our evening production shift by performing preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and light facility upkeep. This role is ideal for an aspiring technician who is currently obtaining technical certification or has recently completed a relevant certification or degree.

This role focuses on preventive and reactive maintenance of production machinery to ensure smooth operations throughout our evening operating hours. You will report directly to the Maintenance Coordinator and work closely with our production staff to minimize downtime, maintain equipment logs, and help keep our facility safe and efficient.

Scope of duties and responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment (encapsulators, conveyors, pill counters, auger fillers, shrink band applicators, heating tunnels).
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs or adjustments.
  • Support production team with equipment setups and adjustments.
  • Conduct light facilities maintenance (minor plumbing, drywall patching, faucet replacement, cleaning AC units).
  • Perform basic forklift maintenance (greasing, minor servicing; larger repairs handled by vendor).
  • Accurately record work performed in CMMS (Limble).
  • Follow safety protocols (lockout/tagout, hazard reporting).

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals and instructions in English
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role

Preferred:

  • Trade school, certification, or degree in mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or related field
  • Experience with pneumatic systems, wiring diagrams, or maintenance software (CMMS)
  • Prior industrial/production equipment maintenance experience
