About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Human Resources Generalist to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in welcoming new employees, managing company devices, and helping implement new systems and tools that keep our operations running smoothly. This position is eligible for a telecommuting arrangement, which allows you to primarily work from home with the flexibility and trust that comes from meeting performance expectations.


Telecommuting must be approved by management in advance and is subject to periodic review in line with our company policy. If approved, you can expect occasional in-office responsibilities, like assisting with I-9 verifications, supporting onboarding activities, or coordinating device logistics.

Position Details

  • Title: HR Generalist
  • Start Date: Negotiable
  • Location: Could be primarily remote with occasional on-site presence required for onboarding activities, device management, or other business needs at the home office located in Logan, UT
  • Reports to: HR & Compliance Manager
  • Wage: $50,000 to $70,000
  • Employment Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week), Salary, Exempt (At-Will)

Responsibilities

  • Human Resources & Onboarding
    • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including offer letters, background checks, screenings, and timely completion of onboarding tasks
    • Complete and maintain I-9 employment eligibility verifications in compliance with federal regulations, including remote and in-person procedures
    • Oversee device ordering, assignment, tracking, and troubleshooting in coordination with IT support
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations
    • Serve as a key point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process
    • Collaborate with the HR and Compliance Manager on various projects, compliance initiatives, and policy updates
    • Perform additional administrative and HR-related tasks as assigned

  • Fleet & Asset Management Assistant
    • Coordinate the assignment, transfer, tracking, and recovery of company vehicles and fleet assets throughout the employee lifecycle
    • Maintain accurate fleet records, including vehicle assignments, registrations, insurance documentation, maintenance records, GPS tracking information, and asset inventories
    • Coordinate with branch leadership and vendors regarding vehicle deliveries, transfers, repairs, maintenance scheduling, and replacements
    • Monitor fleet documentation to ensure vehicles remain compliant with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements
    • Support accident reporting and fleet documentation by maintaining records and coordinating required paperwork with internal departments and external partners
    • Assist with fleet reporting, inventory audits, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, onboarding, or a related administrative role (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of I-9 verification processes and employment eligibility requirements
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar); familiarity with Microsoft Office tools is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, ADP, BambooHR) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening process relevant to the duties of the position, in accordance with applicable laws.

Physical Requirements:

  • May require occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs (e.g., onboarding kits, electronic devices)
