Pharmacy Account Manager

Why FMH
Every day, someone receives a life-changing diagnosis. Getting the right medication should be straightforward - but too often it isn’t.

Specialty medications move through a complex network of providers, health plans, pharmacies, and manufacturers. Administrative delays, disconnected systems, and limited visibility can slow treatment when time matters most.

Free Market Health exists to make that process work better.

Our technology connects stakeholders across the specialty pharmacy ecosystem, helping prescriptions reach the right pharmacy while improving visibility, reducing friction, and keeping treatment moving forward for the patients who depend on them. We focus on the most important stakeholder of all: the patient.

Your impact

As a Pharmacy Account Manager, you will own the day-to-day experience of an assigned portfolio of contracted pharmacy partners. You will build trusted relationships, coordinate operational support, triage issues, and ensure questions and concerns reach the right internal teams for timely resolution. You will also partner closely with our Network team as Free Market Health expands its pharmacy network and onboards new pharmacy partners.

This is an opportunity to work across a growing and strategically important portfolio that includes HSSPs, home infusion organizations, PSAOs, and other pharmacy relationships. You will support the Vice President, Strategic Pharmacy Partnerships in translating partner needs into coordinated action while helping deliver a consistent, responsive, and high-quality partner experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a defined portfolio of contracted pharmacy relationships, serving as the primary day-to-day point of contact.
  • Develop trusted relationships with HSSPs, home infusion providers, PSAOs, and other strategic pharmacy partners.
  • Triage partner questions and operational issues, coordinate with the appropriate internal teams, and drive clear, timely follow-through.
  • Partner with Pharmacy Operations, Network, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support consistent program execution.
  • Collaborate with the Network team as new pharmacies move through contracting, implementation, onboarding, and early-stage relationship management.
  • Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, open issues, decisions, risks, and outcomes.
  • Monitor relationship health, service trends, and recurring concerns; identify risks and escalate complex, strategic, or financial matters appropriately.
  • Prepare materials and coordinate follow-up for partner meetings, business reviews, reporting, and other recurring touchpoints.
  • Support pharmacy retention, expansion, and strategic initiatives by translating partner feedback into actionable insights.
  • Contribute to scalable account-management processes and a consistent pharmacy partner experience as the network grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in account management, client services, pharmacy operations, network operations, or a related healthcare environment.
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmacy networks, claims, or healthcare service delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external relationships, organize competing priorities, and move issues from identification through resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort using CRM, issue-tracking, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools to organize work and provide visibility into account activity.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working with health-system specialty pharmacies, home infusion providers, PSAOs, specialty pharmacy networks, or PBM partners.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy contracting, onboarding, implementation, prior authorization workflows, or claims-related issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting business reviews, partner reporting, performance tracking, or relationship expansion initiatives.
  • Ability to recognize recurring operational themes and help translate them into process improvements.
