Galvanize is a biomedical platform company operating at the convergence of engineering, biology, and healthcare delivery, aiming to deliver life-changing solutions to patients and their doctors. We design and develop Pulsed Electric Field Systems to achieve meaningful and lasting therapeutic outcomes for patients.



About the role

The Director of Education leads all education efforts related to the Galvanize Therapeutic’s product portfolios, including Medical Education and Commercial Training. These education efforts include conducting training programs for our internal team, such as the commercial sales team, as well as for external education programs for physician education purposed. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing, and collaborates closely with the Vice President of Sales, Medical Affairs team, Regulatory team, Marketing, as well as any other business unit needed to conduct education programs.


Qualifications

Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA strongly preferred.


Skills and Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in professional education and commercial training within the medical device or life sciences industry, including significant leadership experience. Proficiency in education principals and methodologies. Superior administrative and organizational skills. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Great interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Other: Up to 40%  domestic travel required


What you'll do

Set the education strategy and drive impact

  • Own the vision and strategy for Medical and Commercial Education
  • Ensure our investments are focused on the areas that will have the greatest impact on the business
  • Translate business priorities into clear education strategies and plans
  • Establish metrics and demonstrate the impact
  • Bring forward new ideas and evolve our approach as the organization grows


Build best-in-class education capabilities

Medical Education:

  • Create a longitudinal HCP education strategy that builds physician knowledge, confidence and procedural adoption
  • Develop high-impact programs and events
  • Build, train and cultivate a strong physician faculty
  • Collaborate with physician faculty and Key Opinion Leaders in developing Aliya Centers for Education and other aspects of our education model
  • Establish an advisory mechanism to continuously improve education

Commercial Education:

  • Own sales force capability from onboarding through ongoing development
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify competency gaps and strengthen field coaching
  • Partner with Marketing and Medical Affairs to create engaging content


Lead the Education Organization

  • Establish clear priorities and accountability for the team
  • Delegate effectively and deploy resources against the highest priorities
  • Evaluate talent, identify competency gaps and coach team members
  • Design the organization and capabilities needed as we scale
  • Manage the budget and make thoughtful resource trade-offs
  • Create efficient processes to reduce administrative complexity
  • Be a proactive, highly effective cross-functional leader
  • Build strong relationships and credibility internally and externally
  • Proactively engage stakeholders to create alignment and drive decisions
  • Understand regulatory/compliance guardrails and find effective ways to accomplish business objectives within them
  • Take ownership through execution while identifying and solving barriers


This role pays between $215,000 and $240,000 per year, and your actual base pay will depend on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
