Onsite AV Lead Technician

The Event Staging Onsite AV Lead Technician is a high-level technical/leadership role. In this position, the incumbent has gained a vast amount of varied field experience and exhibits a high level of leadership in the Audio-Visual industry. The Onsite AV Lead Technician will perform AV sets/strikes, set-up and oversee hybrid/livestream sessions and effectively communicate and interface with clients, presenters, and hotel/venue staff. They will provide an onsite presence and be readily available to support numerous properties in West Ventura County, as needs dictate.

What you'll do

• Provide advance planning, logistics, and documentation support for the event in coordination with AV Masters operations to ensure onsite success.
• Consistently demonstrate strong leadership skills and accountability through technical and operational event support for all events through concise and real-time communication
• Supervise and delegate onsite tasks to onsite crew in a timely and professional manner in accordance with event scope and timeline with adherence to industry and local standards for breaks and meals.
• Ability to interact and communicate with clients; interpret and execute their requests both in advance of events and onsite.
• A quick learner with advanced skills in coaching team on related audio/video/lighting and live event skills.
• Maintain and update Outlook with tasks, appointments, meetings, and other event-related activities.
• Ability to be trained and understand different manufacturers’ products.
• Significant knowledge of all AV disciplines.
• Learn, understand, and follow company processes and expectations.
• Proactively identify potential AV issues and provide solutions to clients’ concerns or needs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned venues.
• Attend venue site visits and convention centers and relay critical business requirements to sales, operations, and clients to ensure full understanding of site capabilities and establishment of a clear event
• Other duties required by the Company in support of business objectives.

What you will bring

• A minimum of 2- 3 years of event AV experience with a strong knowledge of all types of audio-visual equipment including operation, set-up, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
• Ability to determine and localize where potential problems may exist through onsite observation and troubleshooting techniques. 
• Must have excellent customer service skills and constituently maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude.
• Must possess a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
• Ability to embrace AV Masters culture and demonstrate company values, respect diversity, and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Punctuality, integrity, and reliability are critical requirements to be successful in this role.
• Physical demands include frequent bending, pushing/pulling gear, long periods of sitting and constant movement, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends in accordance with event scheduling requirements.
• Hotel AV experience a plus
