Build Something You Can Be Proud Of

We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join our electrical panel shop team in Pompano Beach.

This is a hands-on technical position focused on the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of custom electrical control panels. You’ll work from electrical drawings and schematics, install and wire components, and collaborate with our engineering team to ensure finished products meet design and quality requirements.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in control panel assembly, industrial electrical wiring, electrical/electronic assembly, or a related technical trade. A technical degree preferred, but is not required. You should be comfortable working independently from drawings and schematics while also collaborating with engineers and other team members to resolve technical issues.

What You'll Do

  • Build and wire custom electrical control panels from drawings and schematics
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, termination, and installation of electrical components
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Assist with panel layout, assembly, testing, and quality inspections
  • Troubleshoot wiring, component, and assembly issues
  • Verify completed work against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Communicate technical issues and discrepancies to engineering and work collaboratively toward resolution
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and productive work area
  • Support other panel shop and engineering activities as operational needs require

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Technical degree preferred; not required
  • Previous experience in electrical panel building, industrial electrical wiring, electrical/electronic assembly, or a closely related technical field
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Experience with point-to-point wiring, component installation, and electrical terminations
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify discrepancies between drawings and actual assemblies
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and production team members
  • Dependability, good communication skills, and a strong work ethic

Technical education or training in electrical technology, electronics, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant hands-on experience.

What You Can Expect

You’ll work in a hands-on industrial environment building custom engineered products rather than performing repetitive production-line assembly. This role provides exposure to a variety of electrical components, designs, and technical challenges while working closely with our engineering team.

We’re looking for someone who can bring useful technical experience to the role from day one while continuing to expand their knowledge and capabilities.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay: $20–$30/hour, based on experience and demonstrated technical skill. Candidates with direct control panel building and troubleshooting experience will be considered toward the upper end of the range.
