IFS Senior Functional Consultant

Senior functional Consultants are at the forefront of IFS product implementations working directly with Customers and Solution Architects on cutting-edge industry solutions in the Field Service Management industry. On a day-to-day basis, the candidate will be working closely with the Solution Architect (SA) and other Consultants in the creation of the Solution Design Document (SDD) by owning specific sections to completion. They will also be collaborating with the Technical Consultant(s) to align with the IFS software to the Solution Design Document(s) (SDD).


Core responsibilities of this position are to align the IFS Application with the Customer’s business processes, run functional workshops to uncover and document requirements document functional solutions, and configure the IFS applications to ensure they meet specific business needs. The position might require the candidate to lead functional consultants and assist them to achieve their performance goals. To be successful in this role, you will need to have the competence to advise and guide the Customer, listen, and dare to challenge based on the understanding of the Customer’s real needs and offer suggestions of how to address them using best practice and industry standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Clients, Business Analysts, and Solution Architects to understand the business needs and operational processes of the client organization and translate them into functional solutions using the capabilities in IFS.
  • Run workshops for Clients focusing on mapping and documenting the business processes, use cases, and requirements that are in-scope to be configured within the IFS application and ensure that the software meets the specific business needs.
  • Assist in the completion of the Business Requirement Document and Solution Design Document outlining what requirements and solutions will be delivered within the project’s timeline and budget.
  • Structure and execute demos of the IFS application for clients and internal team members.
  • Provide training, education, coaching, and assistance to team members as needed.
  • Maintain a strong and professional relationship with the Client.
  • Be responsible for configurating the IFS application to the functional requirements.
  • Keep up to date with the latest IFS releases and developments through IFS Learning Academy training and hands-on with the latest releases.
  • Participate in IFS Upgrades, both minor and major as well as IFS releases patches following/updating documented procedures.
  • Support pre-sales activities through functional support.
  • Provide guidance on functional solutions / workarounds/ make credible functional recommendations and estimates based on client needs/ project requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Strong industry knowledge within the Field Service Management space.
  • Proven experience of 4-6 years as a Functional Consultant working with IFS FSM and/or IFS Cloud.
  • Experience in IFS App Gen or Aurena or IFS cloud.
  • Strong expertise in IFS Cloud modules, configurations, and integrations.
  • Should have practical experience of having gone through at least 2 IFS implementations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Management/Computer Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Mathematics or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to identify business opportunities for clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in conducting client needs assessments and translating them into tailored IFS solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel if there is a requirement to visit the customer (1 per month).
  • Comfort in working in ET time zone.


Nice to Have:

  • AS-IS and To-Be Analysis experience.
  • Gap analysis, requirement gathering and rationalization experience.
  • Certification from IFS academy in the respective modules (FSM, PSO).
