About the Role

Salary | $60,000 | Benefits | Remote

We're looking for a compassionate, engaging, and energetic Youth Gaming Therapy Facilitator to support children and teens through therapeutic gaming programs.

This role is particularly well-suited for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), Child & Youth Workers (CYWs), Therapeutic Recreation professionals, Educational Assistants, Behaviour Interventionists, educators, counselors, and others with experience supporting youth in developmental, educational, behavioural, or therapeutic settings.

Working alongside Occupational Therapists and other members of our team, you'll facilitate small online groups where youth build social, emotional, and communication skills through structured gaming experiences, including Minecraft and virtual reality (VR).

Many of the youth we support are neurodivergent, including children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and social communication challenges. You'll play an important role in helping participants build confidence, develop friendships, and practice meaningful life skills in a safe and supportive environment.

If you enjoy helping young people grow, building meaningful relationships, and using creative approaches to support development, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Create safe, inclusive, and encouraging environments where participants feel supported and valued.
  • Help youth develop social communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional regulation, confidence, and peer relationship skills through structured gameplay.
  • Support group engagement and participation while adapting activities to individual needs.
  • Observe and document group dynamics, progress, and areas where participants may benefit from additional support.
  • Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to support therapeutic goals, monitor progress, and help youth practice skills in meaningful and engaging ways.
  • Build positive relationships with participants and families through professional and compassionate communication.
  • Contribute ideas that help improve and expand our gaming therapy programs.
